Hi, we have 4GB Up Borad and a fresh install of Windows10 Home 64bits v1804 and WDF_Violation issue still alive.
After read this post, i'm will install version 1709.

Been anxiously waiting for RS5 Fall 2018 Updates to resolve this issue - which is suppose to be coming sometime this month. Has any forum member here (or AAEON team) been testing the UP board with Insider Previews up to this point? It'll really be a drag if a new driver issue shows up with the RS5 release.

I plan to try installing the new Windows to my Up Board in the next few days.
It would be great if we got official word from AAEON that this fixes the issue.

Just upgraded from 1709 to 1809 (October 2018 update). Everything seems to work so far. Yay!

mauritswoudenberg, have you tried clean install with 1809 install media?
BTW, where can I download 1809 install media?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 still (or again?) offers April update (=1803). -
Microsoft pulled back 1809 update for now due to missing-document-files issue. That's why install media is not available.
mauritswoudenberg, you're probably still on 1803 unknowingly - the Media Creation Tool was set behind the scene to use 1803 image when they decided to pull back 1809 update.

Any update? Can someone confirm if 64GB/4GB original UP Board (with latest BIOS UPC1DM11) works with 1809, or not?

My Up-board has been offline for a few months. I recently the restored the internet connection (faulty cable). It worked fine for a few days, but now won't boot anymore. It has a blue screen with the WBF violation message. I assume it downloaded and installed 1803 in the few days it was up. How to fix this without having to reinstall Windows? Boot from recent install media? Disable some services/devices and just do a Windows update? And if so, what to disable? Something else?

The error wdf_violation windows 10 can be resolved by the method in which you are supposed to system restore. This can be done by writing system restore in the Windows search bar and choosing the option of Reset this PC. Then you can go to the option of System Protection panel and tap on the option that says System Restore. Now tap the option of Next, the time when the next window shows up, and the System Restore window will show up. Then pick the restore point and press the option of Next to start the process of the system restoration. If this doesn't work, you can also go for the option of running a system file checker scan by using the SFC, you want to open the command prompt and press on the Windows search icon before you write “cmd.” Pick the first result and tap on Run as administrator, and write this instruction to run the scan: sfc /scannow . In the end, wait for a while and start your PC again.
