New Up Xtreme Edge Compute Enabling Kit not booting in Linux

Options

Hello, I have just unboxed a new UP Xtreme Edge Compute Enabling Kit.
The contained quick start guide says: "the system will turn on automatically. you can log on into Ubuntu using the credentials devkit/devkit".
When I power up the system it runs always in the UEFI shell.

Is it supposed to have linux preinstalled?
When I go in the bios setup screen I do not see eMmc boot device.
Best Regards,
Stefano

    Hi Stefano,

Yes. For the enabling kit, the OS is pre-installed. Can you share the screen shot which you don't see eMMC?

    Hi Aling,

    Hi,
I have the exact same problem.
How can I solve it? Should I try to reinstall ubuntu?
    Thank you.

    Hi @morattos , @riccardo_s ,

Please apply for an RMA for the above UP Xtreme product.
You can request an RMA from UP Shop directly (check here, https://up-shop.org/cancellation-sales-return-doa-rma) if the purchase was made via our UP Shop.
If it was purchased from one of our distributors, you can process the RMA via their return services.

    Thanks,
    Pratik

Thank you @Pratik_Kushwaha for your response.
Unfortunately, I need to get the board up and running as soon as possible, and an RMA request would slow me down too much.
Is it possible to work around the problem somehow or is it a hardware flaw?
    Thank you again,

    Riccardo

Hi @Pratik_Kushwaha, I proceeded with the RMA. I have received the product back and now it boots correctly using the emmc into the preinstalled UBUNTU

    hi @LAZ,

Camillus here, if I understand correctly, the screen you see is the UEFI BIOS shell. Do you already have an OS installed ? Please give more details. The screen comes up because UEFI shell is selected as boot priority in BIOS settings. I will suggest you type 'exit' when the screen comes up and it will boot into the OS. Let me know the outcome.

I'm having a similar problem. What should be done on this?
