up2board: bios doesn't detect HDD connected to sata

Hello,

I have taken out HDD from one of my laptops and wanted to boot from it with up2board. I have conncted SATA data (7 pin) cable to both ends (up2 and HDD). HDD itself is powered from external source as I don't have compatibile cable for up2board. Unfortuanetely in BIOS I see only the up2board primary HDD not the externaly conected one? What might be wrong?

you need to power from the UP Squared, otherwise it won't be able to detect it
