Ubuntu 17.10 and GPIO

Do you know if it's possible to access to GPIO in python 3 on Ubuntu 17.10 ?

    I have the same question: I dont know how to get gpio working on Ubuntu mate 17.10. Pls help :smile:

    Hi @PhilDou ,

    Did you try to install MRAA library in your new Ubuntu?
    There, you could access to GPIO via Python.

    Wonder if there is a kernel that supports GPIO for Ubuntu 17.10?

    It is my impression that there will not be one for the new LTS release 18.04 until maybe this fall?

    Hi @Kurt,

    Yes, you are right.

    Ubuntu 17.10 is not supported yet for UP board to use your GPIOs.
