I ended up tossing the board(s), and replacing them. Actually the second one I have not replaced yet. So I am down to just one UP board (And an UP2).
I saw at least one dead component and figured there could be more and it did not want to chance it. I just wish that maybe UP would have a repair center that maybe could fix these.
I hope you have some good luck! I did something similar with my first UP board (not UP2), and plugged in 12V. I ended up replacing the board. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
