How do I access hardware accelerated 4K encoding?

Ive got an UP squared N4200 with ubilinux and I'm wondering how can I encode a 4K video ensuring its using hardware acceleration.
Do I need to download some Intel software? Or will ffmpeg magically use hardware acceleration?
