I just received my first Up Board, and it came with a passive cooler installed.
I also bought an active cooler but must first remove the passive cooler in order to install it.
How can I safely remove the passive cooler?
Jamming screwdrivers into things has not worked out well for me before. ;-)

Hehe, yeah I had the same difficulty with my UP Boards. They are held on with sticky thermal tape. All you need to do is to pry it up.
What I did was to use a plastic scribe, and insert it into a few key spots I found that I could "twist" the scribe to exert upward pressure on the heatsink. Look for hard components and screw eyes that you can insert onto and twist.Eric Duncan - UP Evangelist - My thoughts are of my own free will
