Do we have an option to disable UEFI and use "Legacy boot mode" ?

I'm curious, is there any way to disable UEFI and enable the "legacy boot mode" ? in Upboard 2GB RAM model specifically. I'm trying to install 32 bit Ubuntu 14.04 on the default 64 bit UEFI (would avoid flashing the bios with 32bit UEFI, preferably ) . Has anyone had any success in this? do share any other suggestions you have. Thanks.

Unfortunately legacy mode is not supported by the Intel X5-Z8350. The board requires a 64bit UEFI enabled system to boot by default, if not you should flash the 32bit UEFI we provide in the download section.
  • Thanks for quick reply.
As I understand from other posts in this forum, 32-bit UEFI is provided primarily for running (32 bit) Windows IoT OS..and doesn't support Linux per se, am I missing something?

You can try to boot a 32bit Linux system (with UEFI boot support) but it has not been tested, neither is officially supported.
