Lost RTC interrupts

Hi, received my Up Board (2GB / 32GB) yesterday, installed Ubilinux and a few services (crashplan, logitech media server, isc-dhcp-server, VNC) all went well, very pleased.

But I noticed today that /var/log/messages is being flooded with these:

Oct 6 12:18:29 upton kernel: [52725.707373] hpet1: lost 9601 rtc interrupts
Oct 6 12:18:30 upton kernel: [52726.274784] hpet1: lost 9600 rtc interrupts
Oct 6 12:18:30 upton kernel: [52726.821941] hpet1: lost 9601 rtc interrupts
Oct 6 12:18:31 upton kernel: [52727.389070] hpet1: lost 9600 rtc interrupts
Oct 6 12:18:32 upton kernel: [52728.503220] hpet_rtc_timer_reinit: 1 callbacks suppressed
Oct 6 12:18:32 upton kernel: [52728.503228] hpet1: lost 9600 rtc interrupts

Log message about once a second. I'm concerned about the log size growth.

Googling, I saw a suggestion that turning off acpi in kernel parameters might cure, but I have no idea whether this would be detrimental in any way.
