USB3 support

Hi all,
Quick question whilst I'm on the road:
I've started playing around with one of my UP's (2GB/32GB, 'stock' firmware) yesterday and seemed unable to get any USB3 peripheral recognized as such. Regardless of device type, whenever I plug a device in the micro-b port, it is recognized as a USB2 device (as seen via 'lsusb -t') regardless of adapter cable and/or USB3 hub.
Did it miss something while going through the bios or is this maybe an know issue?
I'll provide more information regarding the board in question when I get back.

Small update:
Right, I've updated the firmware/bios to UPC1BMOS (06/04/16), but no such luck.
I do see the usb3 controller listed as "Bus 02.port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/6p, 5000M", but every device connected to the micro-b port is still listed under the usb2 hubs. -
