Hello guys,

I am trying to connect the UP 4000 carrier board for WiFi and 5G module (This one: https://up-shop.org/default/up-4000-carrier-board-for-wifi-and-5g-module.html )

on a UP4000 but I can't find a guide or something to follow. Is there a wiki or something to do so?

I tried to do the bellow but in BIOS I have no PCI Express Configuration:
BIOS -> CRB Setup -> CRB Chipset -> South Closter Configuration -> PCI Express Configuration -> PCI Express Root Port 1 -> PCIe Speed => Change to Gen2.

BIOS -> CRB Setup -> CRB Chipset -> South Closter Configuration -> PCI Express Configuration -> PCI Express Root Port 1 -> PCIe Sekectable De-em => Change to Disable.
Thanks.

    Hello,

It seems like the module is not detected, but I am not sure of what steps I need to follow in order to connect it.
    I installed ubuntu 20.04.6
This is the module I am using:

    Hi Sir,

Is it WiFi or 5G not recognizing the device? Or both?

    Hi Sir

It seems to be no problem.
Could you please provide the model number/name of the module (Wifi & 5G)??
Are you using two modules at the same time??

    Best Regards,
    Harry Chiu

I thought that the carrier board is able to allow me to connect to 5g or wifi networks with no modules.
I need to get a module from here?

    Hi Sir

In addition to the carrier board, you also need wifi or 5G module to connect to the Internet.
The carrier board just adds an expansion function.

Thank you for your kind help. It makes sense now.
I saw that there is no compatible 5G module for Europe, only for US. Is there any that I can use for 5G in Europe?
