When in AAM1 (SoundWire) mode no I2C access is available on the HAT connector. For dev purposes could I make an I2C connection directly to the UP Xtreme board (i.e. a pair of soldered connections)?
Thanks

I2C is available on the DOCKING II connector (CN26).

We do not support modifying the board, so no for the above.
You can use I2C on CN26 via special cable, the I2C on CN26 is 1.8VPlease refer this post on forum for more details on using I2C on CN26,
