Internals of XM2280 Myriad anyone?
Hi All,
I got the UpXtreme dev kit with the AI core on it. Wanted to use it as a low-power numerical accelerator (and NOT for deep learning stuff). Is there any way to communicate with the Myriad chip, and use if for number crunching applications. I search the Intel site (as register user) but found nothing about the architecture of the Myriad IC, and nothing about such APIs.
Is there any way to use the AI core without (too much) touching the OpenVino kit?
Regards,
Darek

The only way is to ask directly with Intel for access to the MDK.
At the beginning it wasn't possible, then they made it available but I am not sure with what terms.
You can ask directly on the Intel support communities, there are already some topics about it: https://community.intel.com/

Hi,
thanks for your answer. I have posted a similar question on the Intel forum. We will see if I get any feedback.
