Shutdown interrupt vio GPIO pin

Is there a way to send a shutdown interrupt to the Up Squared via one of the GPIO pins? Basically, I would like the Up2 to shutdown, when a signal changes from LOW to HIGH. I am aware that this could be realized via a service in the background that monitors the state of one GPIO pin, but is there also an option to signal the shutdown directly to the kernel so that no additional service is required?

Hi @Tones29
I am not sure you can do it directly and we never tested such option, so I would consider the standard way with a service
