UART on the 40 pin conncetor

Has anyone been able to use the UART on the 40 pin connector? I am looking at the UpBridge class from Aaeon and their example C# application (UpDemoApp) and there is no methods for the Uart.

  Are you use UP or UP2?
  UART on the 40 pin connector just like access COM port in windows no need through UpBridge
