in UP Squared Hardware Specification

I just noted that the products UPS-APLP4-A10-0864 and UPS-APLP4-A10-08128 seemed to be replaced by UPS-APLP4-A20-0864 resp. UPS-APLP4-A20-08128. What are the significant hardware changes? Also, neither the old nor the new model seem currently available at large resellers such as mouser.com. When will they become available?

    hmm

    and this has nothing to do with Intel announcing on their website that Apollo Lake CPUs will be falling sooner then expected due to silicon degradation and they will be releasing new F stepping to fix the issue.

    Next day Intel pulled the article of their website and acted like it never happened.

    "After an extended period of back and forth with Intel, we have confirmed that the existing B-1 stepping chips do suffer from the LPC bus degradation issue, which is rectified via a firmware update. This issue is classified as Errata APL47, as listed here (PDF). When the B-1 Stepping is used in accordance to the published specifications and design guidelines, it meets PC Client and IOT usage requirements.

    The new F-1 stepping products have the LPC bus degradation issue fixed in the silicon and will be available for order for 15 years.

    We've amended the article below to include the new information and a portion of the errata/fix description. "

    Apollo Chips used by AAEON are B1 stepping, so when will be getting bios update to fix LPC bus issues?
    B1 stepping can be fixed, if it was implemented correctly in first place.

    I find it very convenient that a new revision was announced few weeks after the issue with Intel Apollo lake CPUs went public.

    The LPC Bus fix is in our BIOS since one year or more, plus the LPC bus is not used on UP Squared so it shouldn't be a concern.
