I just got the UP board.
Downloaded the file ubilinux-3.0.iso, use Rufus (on Win 10) to burn the image into my SD card.
By following the instructions here: https://up-community.org/wiki/Installing_ubilinux
I juse a SD card and a card reader.
Pressing F7 while booting, only see this:
There is not USB device to select.
Why?

Hi yehnan,
Can you please try to use a simple USB stick, 1GB or more and connect it directly to one of the USB2.0 ports? -
Thanks for replying so fast.
I use another newer SD card reader. And now it's booting and installing.

Thanks.
I'll try USB 2.0 ports another time. -
Thanks to you for reporting that is now working!

Hi, it seems that my installation failed. Please help.
Powering up the UP board, pressing F7, it shows:
No problem. I selected my card reader, and continued the installation process.
After installation, I unplugged the card reader, and reboot.
Saw the following message:
It's out of my expectation.
I expected to see the normal Linux login prompt.
What's the problem?
During the installation process, it asked me to choose:
Force UEFI, YES NO.
I chose NO.
Is it the problem? -
Please re-install the OS and if prompted again about "force uefi" answer yes.
-
Well, I suggest you modify the installation document:

Thanks. I'll re-install now.
Report to you later. -
installation document updated: https://up-community.org/wiki/Installing_ubilinux#Installation
Is that better now?
Thanks for your feedback! -

In the second installation process, it doesn't ask me to choose Force UEFI.
Strange.
May I ask how the emmc on UP board are partitioned?
It seems emmc is divided into 6 partitions?

I have the same problem.
I have now tried 10 times different ways with very small steps forward and now to a full stop.
And now after 10 hours it is full stop.
It looks like somebody have not testet how the installation will work when it is not pure American installation. So because I live in Denmark you installation cannot find files for the installation. In this case initramfs-tools which is not possible to download form the local debian. I have tried to point to the main debian mirrow in Denmark and then it findes this file but stops when it has to download the ubilinux kernel file. And because the very primitive installation program you have to restart the installation proces to modify where it has to download from. So please help so I can get this installed. And yes you installation description are very to short. And leve many details out. This will not be a problem if it worked but when it does not...
To others there have problems installing press alt-f4 and then you have a chance to se what is the problem.
