pinctrl for up2 7000 to enable MRAA

I read at https://forum.up-community.org/discussion/comment/13367#Comment_13367 and understand that there needs to be a pinctrl driver for the specific platform after which mraa needs to be compiled and run. If my understanding is correct, is there an ETA for the Up2 7000 pinctrl driver? needless to say we need it.
