Hi all,
I was considering getting an Upsquared pro 7000 board to use it as a gateway together with a 5G modem.
At first glance, the board looks perfect for this purpose, as it has an M.2 Key B port, nano-sim slot and two 2.5G Ethernet ports.
But after looking more closely, I saw in the specs:
1 x M.2 3052 B Key (USB3.2 Gen 2 only) with Nano SIM slot
Some 5G modems, including one that I already have, only support PCIe communication.
If that's true, that the M.2 B Key slot only supports USB, that's unfortunate not to be able to use the PCIe only modems.
