OpenVINO hang on UP2 V2 GPU

I recently purchased UP2 V2 with certified Ubuntu preinstalled. Code that ran on UP2 V1 with openVINO 2021.4.2 LTS on GPU stopped working. Loading the AI kernel/network fails. I found this https://github.com/openvinotoolkit/openvino/issues/9884 which shows there is a problem with EHL GPU but it is not clear as to the fix. Is this a known issue with Up2 V2? is there a fix?

I am surprised that there has not been an update here of any kind. For those interested, this issue got resolved by following the steps in the link below
