NVMe disk

I'm using an UP squared pro with ubuntu 22.04 and flashed with the latest bios. I'm trying to get the M2 2280 to work with an NVMe disk. Somehow it can not find the disk.
- It doesn't show as a boot option in the bios.
- Does not show in the lspci list when booted.
- No messages in dmesg show the presence of the NVMe disk
Question: should this unit support an NVMe disk using the M2 2280 slot?
