Setting up wireless access point

Hi,

I have an UP board and the wifi kit. I've been trying to set the wifi to act as a wireless access point/hotspot but to no avail. The 'hotspot' option from GUI is unavailable and following instructions used on PI like here failed as well.

The only difference I've made from the instructions is changing wlan0 to my interface which is something like wlx7cdd******* (tried wlan0 but doesn't work as well).

Does the wifi kit support access point? And if yes, any suggestions on where have I gone wrong?

Ok turns out the wifi kit from UP does not support access point.
