UP Squared is crushing randomly
Hi all,
I've got a problem with my computer (UP Squared 4GB RAM, Intel Pentium). After a few weeks of working, the computer is randomly crushing (turning off and after a few minutes waking up). I've returned my up squared to the service 2 times, and it happened again, so that's the third computer that's not working properly (I've got the original power supply - 5V/6A).
There's Ubuntu 18 installed on the eMMC, and the computer is connected to the touchscreen and a WiFi antenna.
I've checked the temperature on the CPUs and it reached maximum of 54 Celsius.
Is there anyone who had a similar situation or could help me define what causes such problem?

Hi @MaikGon ,
Thanks for the information.
Could you provide some more details here?
- What is the resolution running on the touchscreen connected to the UP Squared board?
- Which wifi module do you have installed with the board?
I have asked my team to look further into this. I will provide you with more information once I have the results from the testing.
Regards,

Could you please also provide the 'dmesg' output from the unit as well?

Hi @Pratik_Kushwaha,
The resolution is 1920x1080 and I use an external wifi antenna.
Unfortunately I'm not able to provide the dmesg output, because the computer already died... -
Hi @MaikGon ,
For this resolution requirement, we had verified earlier in our tests, and the UPS board works perfectly.
I will verify it again with the setup details you have provided here and will get back to you. -
Hi @MaikGon ,
What is the current BIOS version on your UP Squared?
Latest BIOS here, https://downloads.up-community.org/download/up-squared-uefi-bios-v5-2/

Hi @Pratik_Kushwaha ,
I can't check version of BIOS because our board doesn't work any more, but I haven't updated BIOS so I guess we used factory version of it.
