Restart problems with the UP-Board
We have a bunch of UP-Boards with Ubuntu-20.04 that all randomly and sporadically freeze on restart. No logs are generated by dmesg or journalctl for this restart freeze and it seems to be happening before these services are started.
I tried the solutions from this post however it didn’t work for us.
Could someone help me understand what is going on or where I should be looking?
I've attached a photo of the point at which all the boards hang.
Best,
A

Hi @ashvin ,
You can try the following options,
1. Try to remove all peripherals aside from the HDMI cable when booting the system.
2. If the above doesn't work, install a fresh batch of Ubuntu 18.04 and if it works fine, try and install the Ubuntu 20.04 again. Steps are here, https://github.com/up-board/up-community/wiki/UbuntuRegards,

The Bios Update UPCDM23 (08/17/2020) solved this problem.
Side note: After the BIOS Update, a Realsense camera attached to the Upboard showed reduced functionality moving from 2 FPS to 1 FPS because IGD Turbo Enable setting in the new BIOS didn't match the old one.
Thank you for your help.
