Up Xtreme 5G Compatibility
I'm curious about using a 5G module with the Up Xtreme board. I noticed the new upcoming version on Intel's latest chips support an optional 5G module via a M.2 key B slot.
As such, I'm curious about the possibility to add this compatibility to the Up Xtreme board. Some adapters exist that provide the ability to convert a mPCIe slot into the M.2 key B with SIM card slots.
Is there anything else that would inhibit using one of these boards to add 5G functionality to the Up Xtreme board through the mPCIe, either on the board itself or on the Net+ module?
I know that sometimes WWAN cards need interaction with the UEFI and if support for a specific module is not available the UEFI might not even recognize the 5G module or it might not be functional within the operating system.
Is there any inclination to provide this type of compatibility for 5G modules on the Up Xtreme?
