RS-422 Full Duplex not working in Rx
Hi,
On our Up Xtreme, we want to use the two COM connectors in RS-422 mode.
After configuring the BIOS and following the pinout found in the Quick Installation Guide:
We have managed to send some RS-422 Full Duplex frames using the TX- and TX+ pins but when receiving frames on RX- and RX+ there is only garbage received.
We have checked the signals with a scope, they are clean an the scope is able to correctly decode them in both directions.
@DCleri could you please confirm the pinout and that the RS-422 is functional in both directions with current BIOS?
Could we have the pinout of the DB9 connector on the chassis to confirm the correct wiring please.
Thanks.

Hi!
Is the RS-422 on UpSquared Pro as broken as on the Xtreme?
Because before buying the UpSquared Pro I do not want to be as disappointed as for the Xtreme.Thanks

@rreignier
I tested and didn't see any issues with RS-422. So, please provide more information about your application environment for our further verify. Also please double check the information below- BIOS Ver is R1.8 (UPW1AM18)
- "Use this Device" to Enabled and Set RS-422 mode for serial port 1 and 2 in BIOS. (Advanced\SIO Configuration\Serial Port X\Mode)
- Make sure that your COM port device is detected and no conflicts, no yellow exclamation mark issue in device manager
- To RS-422 test if the Up Xtreme COM port is functioning correctly, you can do a simple loopback test to check whether the link between the two com port works normally. For example, COM1 TX- to COM2 RX-, COM1 TX+ to COM2 RX+, COM1 RX- to COM2 TX-, COM1 RX+ to COM2 TX+
