[SOLVED] 2.9 inch e-Paper module from Waveshare 18.04 Ubuntu

Hi,
has anyone used the 2.9 inch epaper from Waveshare with the UpSquared and Ubuntu 18.04.
Maybe even has some example code to share?

Especially since the R.GPIO class does not work on the UpSquared with Intel Processor and Ubuntu.

I would recommend you to use the supported LCD touchscreen for UP board:

thank you for your hint. Unfortunately the LCD does not fit the puropose requirement.
Regarding size and power consumption.

In any case I did managed to get the 2.9 inch e-paper module working with the UpSquared.
SPI needs to be enabled and part of the example code need to be ajdusted to work with the mraa library.
