How to suppress boot messages on HDMI output

Hello,

I am using an up-squared board, and I would like to suppress all boot-up messages on HDMI output until I start running init scripts. I am happy to redirect these messages to serial debug console only.

What is the best way to do this? Can I do this within the BIOS setup?
