No HDMI Audio output with Ubuntu 18.04, Kernel 15.04, newest Bios UPC1DM11
I have the problem, that the sound over HDMI has no function!? I tried all different instructions from net, but no success!? In bios I did not found the possibility to put Audio on for HDMI!?
Can anyone help me please?

I would recommend you to install the official UP kernel for Ubuntu 16.04.

It is not possible to install the official UP kernel for Ubuntu 16.04! Package not found!Now I have to install the ubuntu the 12 time again with no answer to my problem! after deleting the kernel from Ubuntu 18.04 I have to install ubuntu new, because Up is in a bootloap (without kernel !!)

Did you say that when you add the repository (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubilinux/up) the package is not available?
Or where is exactly your problem with the UP kernel for Ubuntu 16?On the other hand, please, could you send the following command outputs?
aplay -l
sudo dmesg | grep HDMI
Test the HDMI sound:
speaker-test -v -Dplughw:CARD=PCH,DEV=X*
X= pcm sound card -

Ubuntu 18 for kernel 4.15 is not supported for UP yet. -
Ubuntu 18.04 is supported now.
I leave this late replay for those who may still have a problem today with ubuntu 18.
After following the instructions here: https://github.com/up-board/up-community/wiki/Ubuntu_18.04
I still had to modify grub configuration file (/etc/default/grub) on this line:GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0"
and then execute:
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
After a reboot the audio through HDMI was working.
