Sound Card Not Detected in Ubuntu

I am experiencing a persistent issue with the HDMI Audio output of my Upboard. The Upboard won't play any sound via HDMI connection. I tried updating, upgrading all drivers. Running a command to list soundcard information showed: NO sound card detected.

Is my UP soundcard incompatible with Ubuntu? I am not sure what to do.

sudo aplay -l
dmesg | grep hdaudio
sudo dmesg | grep HDMI
