Ubilinux latest and Ethernet

I'm new here. Just got an UP squared board and flashed the latest ubilinux. The software claims that the Ethernet is on and that there is a wired connection. The Ethernet PHY LEDs don't light ever and the board doesn't try to connect to my DHCP server for an address. The instructions for installing ubilinux says that everything should be ready to go online and update the software.
What needs to be done to know if the board is bad or I need to do something else to get connected?

Did you resolved that issue?
You have to get the Ethernet wire connected during the Ubilinux installation.
