Media driver missing during Windows 10 installation

I am attempting the initial Windows 10 installation in a 4GB Up-Core. Following the language screen I'm getting a Lad Driver dialog that says "A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard disk driver..." There doesn't seem to be any such driver on the driver download.

After quite a bit of research online, the solution was to use a USB 2.0 (not 3.0) thumb drive, obtain the ISO using the MediaCreationTool, and use Rufus to put the ISO on the thumb drive (MBR partition schene for UEFI, FAT32). Apparently the ISO doesn't have support for USB 3.0.
