What is the max current for the sata power molex connector?

Hello,
I was planning to use the sata power connector to power some other device.
Whats the max ampage output for it? (I assume its 5v) Also, does it turn off when the board is turned off?

Hi Russell, the max current is 1A (5W), it's follow the SATA standard, and power off when you turn off the board (OS shutdown). BTW, you also can get 5V1A from HAT40. Pin2&Pin4, and that 5V won't turn off if power supply stay on
