Hi
Did someone succeed installing the Up² graphic drivers under 2012R2?
I tried different solutions, I even downloaded the Intel driver from Intel's support repository, but nothing works. My display stays desperately in 800x600/256.
I never had this kind of problem with newer versions of the kernel : W10 or 2016 Server
hope someone found a way to circumvent this problem.
Cheers
Marc

The UP2 uses the Intel Apollo Lake chipset, which has the Intel HD Graphics 505 GPU SoC.
Intel technically says it doesn't seem to support Windows 7 (which is about the same as Windows 2012 drivers), nor even Windows 8.1 for that matter.

BUT...
As of Oct 17th, just a few days ago, if you go download the drivers for this Intel HD Graphics 505, it says it does support Windows 7 now?

I'd try it and see. If it doesn't work, I'd say it is Intel not supplying the driver needed.Eric Duncan - UP Evangelist - My thoughts are of my own free will

Thanks a lot, Eric
That's exactly what I was affraid of.
I tried all classical "ol'admin tricks" : downloading the driver from the Intel site, bypassing the "setup" exe and forcing the installation from the device manager, even tried to run a direct install from the inf file... nothing, nada, nichts...
I didn't saw any info concerning the Intel compatibility list... been there, lost my time :-D
It means I'll have to use a 2016 licence. Too bad, the 2012 R2 kernel was running fine on the UP² . And an install without GDI is incredubly fast... But my project absolutely needs an graphical interface
Thanks again for your rapid and clear answer, Eric.

Did you try the driver version I linked to above? It is slightly different.

Hi
Yes I did... in vain.
I will not insist with this kernel... WS2016 is the system to use :-)
