GPIO startup status unstable ... ?

Hello,

after having built some interfaces for Inputs on the GPIO I tried multiple times to start the UP board and sometimes the inputs are still inputs, sometime it looks like the drivers for the inputs fail to start ? and the inputs become suddendly outputs during start up ... (not really a behaviour which is possible to be used in real world applications..)

So I really would need to get in touch with some hardware specialist of UP to resolve these issues.

Is it a hardware problem ?
Is it a firmware problem ?
Is it a configuration problem ?
Is it a OS problem ?
Is it an application problem ?
