battery powered up board battery driver

hello everyone,

I am creating an up based tablet with lipo battery.
I want windows to be able to measure battery capacity using the onboard adc or an external one.
It should show up in windows like it does on any laptop. (in the bottom right corner with a battery icon)
Since i have never written a driver before i hope there already exists something that does that.
I gues it isnt that hard becouse it is a mobile cpu so it should have something it it to do what i want right.(i think)
So can anyone help me finding it?
