How to reinstall OS or install other OS

I may not be using the right search terms, but I can't seem to find a guide to reinstalling the OS or installing a new one once I've already installed one. I'm trying to use the same drive I used for my initial ubilinux install, but it just keeps booting to ubi, and doesn't let me select the USB drive in the boot options.

i should add, it does let me boot from a CD drive.

Go into the AMI BIOS and move USB to the top of the boot devices. This should make USB come up as an item in the boot list.

Through some trial and error, I figured out what I was doing, and what I was doing wrong. Thanks for answering
