UP Squared without eMMC

During the Kickstarter campaign it was already asked if UP Squared can buy without eMMC.

November 17 on Kickstarter: We will look into the requests of no eMMC and discuss with the team.

Is there any new information?

So far, we will still go for eMMC onboard. We are working on some surveys ,and we can add this as one of topic to see more feedback.

I would prefer an option for an non flash / emmc version too after theres no way (only complete over trim) to safety delete selected files on flash memory.

That is an big and dangerous constructing error principal in flash memory in my view !

Without eMMC the UP-Squared should be much cheaper.
With SATA and mSata, other storage options are available.
