HDMI CEC support.

Does the up squared supports HDMI CEC out of the box ? From data sheet says it supports it but when i tried to use Plex Media Player Embedded (PMP) for intel, it didn't work. I didn't get the time to fiddle around too much with it yet though. When using PMP with a raspberry pi 2 it works right away.

I'm using an up squared with the N3350 processor.

Thanks.

    Hi Gonzague
we are currently working on adding the support for the CEC but for now this is not enabled due to a bug in the current M18 bios.
Is planned to be solved in the next bios/fpga fw release.

We still count on Intel's support in BIOS to make CEC ready.
Once we have everything in place, we will release a new BIOS version and update in eNews.

A new BIOS has now been released, and you can find it at: https://up-community.org/downloads/category/29-uefi-bios

I successfully updated mine last night .

    Good Luck!

I'm running M21 BIOS and no CEC support in LibreElec that I can see.

    1. Has CEC support been enabled (does it need to be enabled in BIOS)
    2. Is it compatible with Pulse8 drivers in Linux?

The CEC is currently on old due to a problem with the Intel SoC (Intel has to provide us instruction about how to enable the external clock on the SoC for the CEC module)

Is there any way of totally disabling CEC - it's playing havoc with my system - blocking all other connected CEC devices it appears. I've just bought a Lindy CEC-blocking M->F HDMI adaptor to see if that solves things. (ARC and CEC control of all other devices is blocked when the UP^2 is powered and running)

    Hi,
Is it possible to use CEC with UP2? Do I have to upgrade BIOS?
I got Debian + Kodi and cec-utils won't detect anything.
    Someone could help?
    Thank you.
