UP4000 with carrier board and 5g module

I am currently trying to set up my UP4000 using this carrier board and this 5G module. The UP4000 runs Ubuntu 22.04. The UP4000 is able to see the modem but fails to connect. I have configured the APN/other settings per the carrier's instructions, but when trying to connect it continually times out and fails. I don't think it's a service issue as the SIM card is able to connect when in a mobile hotspot. Based on the wiki page for modems, I don't think there should be any additional drivers needed, so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Has anyone else been able to get this set up working/are there any additional instructions for troubleshooting this setup?
