Does boot and install without a monitor possible?

I have connect a serial console to the UP Squared board, and I can enter BIOS and grub,
But grub says "no suitable video mode found", so when booting a linux kernel, no msg is outputed through the console.
How to fix this?

And I can't enter the EFI shell as there is no such option in BIOS BOOT section...

    Hi
please post the content of the /etc/default/grub file
Also you don't specify the OS that you want to install.
Ubilinux 4.0 support the installation from a serial connection

I was installing Debian testing on the board then using weekly images from ftp://cdimages.debian.org.
After a few times of failure, I realized that I can not workaround the grub "no video mode found" err msg.
Then I debootstrap install debian sid to a usb drive, and as expected the grub-efi installed on it didn't work either.
I didn't try syslinux-efi. Instead I add a reboot cron script to the usb drive and configure one of the ether card,
then login via ssh, and then debootstrap install sid to the mmc. Now it works fine except for that I can't get the
wifi card to work in 5GHz hostapd mode.
