Intel RealSense with ubilinux on UP Squared board

Has anyone tried to connect Intel Realsense R200 camera to Up Squared board running ubilinux? I cannot get the camera recognized by the board. Looked at a few resources but none of them work.
1) There is a post related but the link to the installation guide is broken. And it seems to be targeting kernel 4.3.0 (not 4.9.45 in the latest ubilinux).
2) In realsense installation document. It mentions installing Video4Linux backend and patching kernel. However, the patches do not work for ubilinux. Looks like the patches are for kernel 4.4, 4.8 or 4.10 of Ubuntu.
3) I downloaded ubilinux source, manually applied the patches, then recompiled and loaded the uvcvideo kernel module. When the realsense R200 camera is connected to Up Squared board's USB 3.0 OTG port, it is neither logged in dmesg nor registered under /dev

Hi thomasccp,
The official support available for Realsense camera is for Ubuntu only, as you already found the patches available are only for Ubuntu Kernels.
You can install our Ubuntu Kernel on a standard Ubuntu 16.04 system from the ppa on launchpad or you can download the Ubuntu Server image which includes a 4.10 Ubuntu kernel from our Community Downloads: https://up-community.org/downloads/download/67-up_squared_iot_grove_development_kit/113-ubuntu_16-04_server_image_for_up_squared_r1
