WiFi adapter/drivers doesn't work UP Core Win10

I've successfully got my UP Core running Win10. Very nice too.
All the driver installations from the regular UP Board worked just fine, except the one for the wifi adapter, where the RealTek drivers it installs fail to work.
Are there separate drivers for the UP Core Wifi adapter?
I don't yet have an antenna, but I can't see how that should affect the drivers.

I second this request.
Temporarily using an external usb wifi dongle ... would like to make use of the internal wifi.
Please advice which drivers to use for the UP Core. It looks like its an Ampak 6214A chipset, but have failed to find any drivers for it.

We are also waiting for the drivers to come out so to be able to purchase the product.
Is there any time frame as to when the UpCore product will have tested drivers and be fully functional? We'd like to buy a few for our industrial product hence the question.

Yes, it's marked AP6214A, and it is mentioned in various places that this is an AMPAK 6214A.
I can't find any information about Ampak as a manufacturer, other than that the parent brand is Broadcom. But a search for Broadcom (AP)6214(A) is also fruitless :-(
It's certainly a different Broadcom chip from the one on the Edison. Same drivers?? Unlikely I guess. -
The similar AP6255 appears to be/use the Broadcom BCM43455.

Hey! So I had a similar issue, albeit on Linux. The link Aaeon provided for UpCore wifi drivers (for Ubilinux) mentions brcmfmac43430 - you might want to dig in that direction. However, I couldn't manage to get those drivers to work on other linux systems, and I wasn't able to find Windows drivers for the chip as well.
If someone finds a solution to this, please make a post about it, it would be greatly appreciated. -
That's very similar to or the same as the chipset (43430 or 43438 depending on where you read) used on the raspberry pi3.

Interestingly, you can run Windows IOT10 on a rasp-pi3, and it supports the wifi chipset. So the drivers must exist somewhere in Windows land.

It seems likely that 6214 also uses BCM43430. So we may need to find drivers for that. -

Yep, seen those. I think the problem (at least on Linux) appears to be that brcmfmac drivers are not aliasing correctly to the AP6212 chip on older kernel versions, however I cannot confirm for certain right now.

Same problem for me. First I dug through endless compressed archives
, then eventually I ran setup.exe in the folder:
"Win10_12.0.1.970_UART_x86-x64_Installer\"
This successfully installed the drivers, and got the BlueTooth working
The Wifi device is also now recognised as "Broadcom 802.11n Wireless SDIO Adapter".
but the drivers don't work.
The files it installs are:
43430r0rtecdc.bin
43430r1rtecdc.bin
bcmdhd63.sys
vwifibus.sys
However, the device status gives the following error:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

UP guys, If you think you got it sorted out, take a brand new one out of the box, install windows, and then install the driver you think will work. When it does, then and only then tell us you have the drivers. -

Good god am I glad to see this thread just in time. I've just sent out a PO to accounting to buy 100pcs yesterday evening after seeing the post from Aaeon (RE driver release). Feeling we are getting now is... those (products?) aren't being thoroughly tested before release.
Appreciate those here who are reporting the drivers failure and/or testing other items for the community. If any other major issues please report. We'll be standby for the next 3~6months until this settles. Sad beginning really

To be fair on the UP team, we are all currently working with pre-sale boards that we got via kickstarter. But I agree, now it is on full commercial release, they really must get the documentation and drivers together into a proper UP Core package. It's a great little board though, so I hope it will be sorted soon.

I didn't get mine via kickstarter. I bought mine directly from UP's web site. I have no mercy on any company that pushes things out the door before everything has been tested and ready.
