USB ports acting strange

I purchased the up board a while ago, have been using it for a few weeks now, and all of a sudden all usb ports stopped working. They work for about the first 10 seconds of boot, I can enter the bios. If I leave the board to boot normally I can see the num lock led turn off after a few seconds of startup, the keyboard works just fine (currently the one I'm using) and I have tried other usb peripherals all with no success. I have tried the cmos battery trick, nothing. As I said before the board has been working fine until just today, so the power supply is sufficient as well.
