Displayport to HDMI Adapter not working

Hi folks,
I need to use two HDMI Monitors with my UP^2 Board, but none of the Displayport to HDMI adapters I tried are being recognised so far.
I found in Intels FAQs that Dualmode has to be activated in the BIOS, so is this just not the case or is it a hardware bug on my end?

Yes it seems that passive adapters are not supported it works like charm with an active one
