Hello,

The Windows SDk is just a shame !
There is no Windows 10 driver to access directly to hadware (GPIO, PWM,...).
We need to use the aaeon "SDK". A real joke !
After 24 year of programming, I never see a SDK like that !
This is just a VS sample with no documentation and missing files !
The EAPIStatusCode.h included in the aaeonEAPI.h header is missing !
The aaeonEAPI fail systematicly when calling EApiLibInitialize.

No support for Windows IOT (but specified at the begining in the documentation and removed recently)

I can't use my borad for my project.
I regret my purchase

If you want make a success never forgot Software developers !

I'm using the UP Squared Pro 7000 as a prototyping platform for a commercial product. This entails some custom drivers, one of which will be a KMDF or UMDF2 driver that will access GPIO. Some ACPI will be in place to load the device driver and declare the GPIO resources used.

I've looked at the sample code for GPIO, but it seems geared toward application access and requires the installation of the UP framework, which our product will lack: instead, the GPIO in question will be directly connected to an on-board component of interest.

So far, attempts to declare a connection to GPIO3 in ACPI as something like
GpioIO(Shared, PullDown, , , , "\\_SB.GPI0", , , ,) { 3 }
have yielded a successful result returned in the driver for an
IOCTL_GPIO_WRITE_PINS
operation, but GPIO3 on the 40-pin HAT connector does not change state. GPIO3 has, of course, been configured as an output in the UP board's BIOS menu with the ADC switched off.

While detailed schematics for the UP board aren't available, the block diagram on its datasheet shows signals to the HAT route through a Lattice FPGA (LCMXO2-640HC-6MG132C). I can only guess that the driver is perhaps setting the line successfully, but the signal is not making it through the FPGA.

My questions are:
1. Is the UP framework necessary for programming the UP board's Lattice FPGA to pass through selected GPIO?
2. Is there some way I can initialize the Lattice FPGA to allow low-level GPIO control to pass through?
3. Do I have the declaration for GPIO3 correct in my ACPI?

Understanding the Cost of Breast Lift Surgery in Turkey: Affordable Options with Exceptional Results

A breast lift (mastopexy) is a popular cosmetic surgery that helps to restore a youthful, firm, and lifted appearance to sagging or drooping breasts. Whether due to aging, pregnancy, or weight loss, many women turn to breast lift surgery to enhance their silhouette and boost their self-confidence. While the procedure can be quite costly in many countries, Turkey has become an increasingly popular destination for breast lift surgery, offering affordable prices without compromising on quality. In this article, we’ll explore the factors that influence the cost of a ****
**** and why it’s an attractive option for medical tourism.

What is a Breast Lift Surgery?

A breast lift involves removing excess skin and tightening the tissue to raise and reshape the breasts. The procedure is tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy and aesthetic goals, often combined with other enhancements, such as breast augmentation, to improve volume and shape.

A breast lift can address several common concerns:

Sagging or drooping breasts

Loss of breast volume and firmness

Uneven breast size or asymmetry

Cost of Breast Lift Surgery in Turkey

One of the main reasons patients choose Turkey for their breast lift is the significant cost savings compared to countries like the United States, the UK, or many parts of Western Europe. The price for a breast lift in Turkey typically ranges from $2,000 to $4,000 depending on several factors.

Key Factors That Influence the Cost

Surgeon’s Expertise and Experience: The cost can vary depending on the surgeon’s skill and reputation. Highly experienced surgeons with advanced techniques may charge a higher fee, but their expertise often results in better, more natural-looking results.

Type of Procedure: The complexity of the procedure and whether it is combined with other surgeries, like breast augmentation, can impact the final cost. Simple breast lifts tend to be more affordable, while combined procedures (e.g., breast lift with implants) may increase the price.

Location of the Clinic: Istanbul, Antalya, and other major cities in Turkey are home to many of the country's top cosmetic surgery clinics. Clinics located in larger, more popular cities may have slightly higher fees, though the prices are still significantly lower compared to many Western countries.

Hospital or Clinic Facilities: Accredited clinics with modern equipment and high standards of care may charge more than smaller or less equipped centers. However, the cost is generally still much lower than what you'd pay in other parts of the world.

Additional Services: Many clinics in Turkey offer comprehensive medical tourism packages, which may include pre-surgery consultations, transportation, accommodation, and post-operative care. These packages can add to the overall cost but also provide additional value for international patients.

Why Choose Turkey for a Breast Lift?

High-Quality Care at Affordable Prices: Turkey offers exceptional cosmetic surgery options at a fraction of the cost seen in countries like the U.S. or the UK. This makes it an attractive option for individuals who may not be able to afford breast lift surgery in their home country.

Experienced Surgeons and Modern Facilities: Turkish clinics are known for their skilled, internationally trained surgeons who specialize in breast lift procedures. These clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and adhere to rigorous safety standards, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.

Medical Tourism Infrastructure: Turkey has become a hub for medical tourism, offering a well-established infrastructure for international patients. Many clinics provide all-inclusive packages that include surgery, aftercare, accommodation, and even airport transfers, making it easy and convenient for patients traveling from abroad.

Positive Patient Experiences: Turkey has built a strong reputation for cosmetic and aesthetic surgeries, with many patients returning home with impressive results. The combination of cost-effective procedures, world-class care, and the country’s natural beauty makes it an ideal destination for those seeking a breast lift.

What is Included in the Cost?

The cost of a breast lift in Turkey typically covers:

The surgeon’s fee

Anesthesia and operating room fees

Pre-operative consultations and medical tests

Post-operative care and follow-up visits

Hospital or clinic stay (if required)

Many clinics also offer additional services like transportation and accommodation for international patients, which can be included in the overall package price.

Conclusion

The cost of a breast lift in Turkey is significantly lower than in many Western countries, yet it doesn’t compromise on quality or expertise. With highly skilled surgeons, modern medical facilities, and the availability of all-inclusive packages, Turkey is an excellent option for those considering breast lift surgery. Whether you are looking to enhance your body contour or restore youthful breast shape and firmness, you can enjoy affordable, world-class care in Turkey. By choosing Turkey for your breast lift, you can achieve the results you’ve always wanted at a fraction of the cost, all while benefiting from a relaxing medical tourism experience.

We have Upboards now in our production series (SKU UP-CHT01-A20-0464-A11 / UP-CHT01-A20-0464-B10).
All upboards are installed with cloned images, so all are exactly the same with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC (ESD).
All drivers installed (UP-CHT01_Windows_10_driver 20180223.zip), so no unknown devices and the BIOS is always the same, which was done for us with special company boot logo.
The power button wafer (CN33) is connected to an additional board, which handles power on/off.
The upboard is powered by the HAT 5V(PIN 2), GND (PIN 4) and we check if the board is running, when the 3.3V (PIN1) are available.
The additional board is acting like a batterie buffer with power caps to handle a proper shutdown of windows.
This works well and is aproved.

Some boards don’t shutdown properly and we think they go to a sleep or hibernate and then we can’t boot the system correctly after that unproper shutdown.
We integrated a reset button, which opens the 5V supply from the upboard.
Is there anything we can do to prevent this? The Windows settings should be correct, because most upboards are running correct.

The other and way more critical problem we are facing is, that some upboards are up and running in windows and suddenly the windows freeze unreproducable.
Mostly no mouse movement possible, the clock is stucked and we can just reset the board.

This situation is critical, because we delivered 30 of our systems worldwide already.
What can we do or how can someone help us here?

We have the UP-CHT01-A12-0432, 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC and lately had a problem with Windows 10, version 1803.
Some systems that I had running with drivers installed did not recover after an automatic update. Some of those I've been able to recover by not completing the update and they are still functioning with updates paused on version 1703, builds 15063.1088, and 15063.1112.
Others I've installed a fresh download of 1803 and then tried installing the drivers. These do not complete the 1st step, Cherry Trail install or fail right after it.

Some of the BSD errors that I caught:
Stop code: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, What failed: isstrtc.sys
Stop code: WDF VIOLATION, What failed: WudfPf.sys

On the earlier systems that failed I installed the drivers from https://downloads.up-community.org/download/microsoft-windows-10-64-bit-drivers/ (Your links on https://wiki.up-community.org/Setup are not up to date) or possibly and earlier version of the same. On some I also installed the AAEON framework referenced here: https://forum.up-community.org/discussion/2918/where-can-i-get-a-up-board-sdk-to-write-my-software-to-control-gpio-pins

One system with all the drivers installed on a version 1703 survived updates to version 1803 build 17134.1 and was functioning but now has auto-updated to build 17134.81 and seems to have lost drivers and use of most of it's USB ports.

The application is designed to perform certain tasks periodically.
If it deems it necessary, it must turn off the screen, but it still has to carry out its tasks.
Unfortunately, when the screen turns off, the application stops working. It is as if frozen.
When the screen is turned on (e.g. by clicking a button on the keyboard), the application becomes active again and works properly.
Freezing the application blocks threads, tasks, and even Timers, and freezes completely.
I turn off the screen by calling:
The application is written in C # .NET Framework 4.8.
Windows 10 Enterpraise LTSC (1809)
Screen lock, screensaver, user logout, etc. is disabled.

Screen is using with eDP .

On a laptop, the application works without any problems.

Please suggest why the application on the Up computer is not working properly.

Hi Everybody,

I have tried to use up-board GPIO pins and I2C with aaeonEAPI library files in windows C# application.
1- Going to the Up-Board bios setting I have enabled I2C and after doing so the 3 LEDs in the back of the board turned on after restart. Although trying to use EApiI2CWriteReadRaw function of the API, I am always getting a fixed data output when using any of the IDs: EAPI_ID_I2C_EXTERNAL, EAPI_ID_I2C_LVDS_1 and EAPI_ID_I2C_LVDS_2. I want to know which one is the correct ID I should be using. although all these three whether I connect the I2C hat to the up-board or not I get same results form the address I am trying to read from.
this is how I am trying to read
uint ID = EAPI_ID_I2C_EXTERNAL; //I have tried other two IDs
object Data3 = 0x03; //as well as 0x4, 0x05 and 0x06
EApiI2CWriteReadRaw(ID, 0x10, 0, 0, ref Data3, IntPtr.Size, 1)
2- I also tried to set pins high or low either from the bios of the up board in Hat Setting section or using the code and in either of the methods I didn't see any change in the level of the pin (high or low). (for example I tried GPIO 11 pin 29 trying to set it as high output but after restart it stays at low.

Also I always get the EAPI_STATUS_SUCCESS when I try to set pins high or low or read from I2C.

I will appreciate if anyone can help me configure and do this.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for any help. I cannot get the GPIO pins to work.

I installed the framework and it seems to work fine. Previously before it was installed, the up bridge would not report board name etc. and now does report it and the install reports successfully done

I installed the drivers with the same method, and it reports success. The driver shows a little weird in the dashboard but I think that is due to the lack of strings in the actual driver.

Regardless of what code or settings I use or change, the pins will not change to a high or low value. If I read the pin value in code, it shows what I would expect but nothing changes as checked with a multimeter.

Hi guys,
I have an UpBoard 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, WIN10 64 bit, registered.
I have troubles with sound properties.
The soundboard is USB type, the Codec chipset is a PCM2901 through a USB HUB with TUSB2046.
The Windows is installing the generic drivers but in the Device Manager the USB Sound board is USB Audio CODEC under "SOUND, VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLERS" as .
Under "AUDIO INPUTS AND OUTPUTS" there is only "Remote audio", used by the Remote Desktop Computer to send audio to the remote station.
When i am trying to select the audio source in Sound properties, I cannot find the USB Audio Codec.
I tried various USB soundboards and nothing. Tried on all USB ports, nothing.
I also installed Virtual Audio Cable and I can see it near the USB Audio CODEC but not in Audio Inputs and Outputs...
Any sugestion is welcome, thank you, Adrian.

When I press "OK", twice, it restarts the computer but brings me back to the same error message, this occurs in a loop. I have tried all of the googled solutions but the problem remains.

I'm working on the development of reader-scanner for checks, with UP-board under Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC.
I have an issue with disk writing (the UP-board embeds a Hynix HBG4a2 e-MMC disk) : There seems to be a disk cache : When there is a power cut or an immediate power off, the data isn’t written (even if the write instruction took place several seconds before). The file is created at the right size but the content is empty.

I tried to disable the cache in Windows ("Enable write caching on the device" option unchecked), but it is not effective.
I think that there is a cache at the hardware level, but I don’t find anything about it.

Can someone confirm this and give me a method to disable this cache?

Thanks a lot.

The "EApiPwmSetValue" uses 4 input values. But none of these values change the frequency of the PWM.

At present the minimum frequency at 17Mhz when the command is initialised with the following:
EApiPwmSetValue(0,1,0,1)
with the first variable being the PWM ID number,
Second is the Base Unit Integer
the third is the Base Unit fraction - which cannot be set to anything but 0 for some reason
the forth is the duty.

So the question is. How do you set the Upboard PWM frequency to its minimum of 293Hz?

Hi All!
I have an issue with the clock speed settings of the I2C bus. I would like to use the i2c-1 peripheral (pin3 and pin5 on the 40 pin header) with standard mode (100 kHz). I set the module to ACPI mode and the speed settings is 100 kHz in the BIOS. The frequency of the SCL pin is 625 kHz which I measured with an oscilloscope and it doesn't depend on the BIOS speed settings. I compared the HKLM/HARDWARE/ACPI registry key with the two different speed settings (100 kHz and 400 kHz). The keys were equal.
I found similar issues under linux:
https://forum.up-community.org/discussion/3943/up2-how-to-select-i2c-speed-mode
https://forum.up-community.org/discussion/3850/up-board-ubuntu-18-04-i2c-speed-select

I’ve found an information at this boart that it is not possible in windows. But I don’t know it never be avaliable or it is the problem of drivers, which will be solved soon.

Hello,

I have many problems with DIO on UP running Windows 10 32Bit

I run HiSafe and it says that some of my pins are not able to be configured, including the pin that I need - DIO 13.
(This is for Olmatic s.usv.)

The message in HiSafe is: Can't read DIO13 value. Hardware not ready. Please check BIOS setting

I run the Dio project after compile and it cannot initialise application or read any pins.

I require 32Bit Windows 10 so I had to flash BIOS UPC1BM0X in order to access 32Bit otherwise Windows 32Bit would not install.

But i cannot locate DIO pin configuration in BIOS anywhere.
There is a "HAP Configuration" which looks like it may almost be the settings, but I cannot tell.

We use other Aaeon boards here at work and their BIOS does include a DIO section, but not this one.

Please advise correct settings

Hello,

I need to use for new product development the I2C interface (I2C-1 of the 40 pins GPIO connector) on windows 64 bits.

I tried to use the EAPI library to control this interface, but the call to "EApiI2CWriteTransfer()" always returns 0xFFFFF0FF.
Moreover, I do not know what ID I should use for the I2C-1 interface of the 40 pins connector. I tried "EAPI_ID_I2C_EXTERNAL" and "EAPI_ID_SMBUS_EXTERNAL" with the same wrong result.

The EAPI library is working for controlling the simple IO of the 40 pins GPIO connector.

Could you tell me how to make the I2C interface work ?

Best regards

Hello,

I've successfully installed windows 10 32bit on my UP after a bit of fiddling, and I'm currently setting up drivers and such.

when I run the 32bit windows10 driver package downloaded from here, it fails when it installs the Intel graphics driver. I was able t modify the installation so it skipped that driver and after that it succeeded.

I headed across to Intel and took a look and it seems their Cherry Trail driver is only supported for Windows 10 64bit, even the Windows 10 32bit driver download mentions this.

can anyone confirm if there is a graphics driver that will work other than the default one?

Thanks

Hi,

recently we got the 4gb ram / 32gb disk version of the upboard. We installed everything according the guide, under windows 10. Now, the problem is that there is no gpu acceleration at all. There is no way to create a 3D context (tried open arena and the installer of 3D mark), not even chrome works whiteout the --no-gpu flag. The driver is installed, and it can bee seen in the device manager, and the intel utilities from the right click menu works, but nothing else.

Someone has any tip of what is going on?

Thanks.
