How to control 100 electromagnets

Hi,

I am pretty new in this world and I would like to create an array of 10x10 electromagnets. They are going to be probably 12V or 5V.

I really have no idea of how to connect that many devices!
Can someone give me hand?

I assume you just want to turn the electromagnets on and off. In that case you can use a bunch of shift regsiters to get the necessary number of outputs. Each output would then be connected to a power MOSFET or relais to switch the magnet on or off.
