Does Core Series include USB OTG? It doesn't say if the USB peripheral has OTG capabilities the datasheet, but I need an UP SBC with USB OTG capabilities so that my SBC can be come a USB device/gadget. If so, is this OTG for USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

Are there UP Core Series boards with the connector receptacles (power, HDMI, USB) not included? Such a board would look similar to the Raspberry Pi 4 Compute Modules which do not have receptacles soldered onto the board itself, making its volume profile smaller and more fit for smaller embedded devices.

In order to use the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity on the UP Core, is there a requirement to use an external antenna with an SMA connector, or is there a patch antenna (PCB trace) on the UP Core that serves as an on-board antenna?

Thanks.

Hi

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but I was wondering from a system-level perspective if the UP Core Plus fits our requirements namely we want to capture raw data on the CSI-2 interface coming from an in-house sensor.

A Raspi-4 allows that by using raspiraw, more or less well documented but seems to capture data directly on the CSI-2 interface. What about the UP Core Plus? Shall we use the Linux kernel in a fashionable way to access that raw data? We are aiming at using Ubuntu.

Is actually the UP Core Plus suitable for that?

Thank you

As a possible UP Core Plus hobbyist user I would like to clarify some data about this board, as I could not find this information anywhere on UP websites.
Q1: Discussions mention that a certain "eDP display kit" is necessary for connection of display to the CN13 (DSI/eDP, 41pin) connector. As I could not find this kit in UP shop and as the official touch screen is too big, I would like to ask if there is any way to connect generic eDP (not necessarily eDP, any generic screen would do), to the to the board using CN13?
(I am also aware of Ipad screen HACK, but not only that I do not have bricked Ipad, but the screen is 9.7 inch, that is too big as well)
Q2: Is there any (preferably working ) way to connect touch screen?
Q3: Is there any conversion cable for 100pin GPIO port, so I could connect anything else than carrier board?
Q4: Is it possible to connect HDD/SSD without carrier board (Net plus)?
Q5: I would like to ask about experiences with passive cooling of the board. Is a massive cooler really needed or could a flat metal sheet be enough (about 8 inch in diagonal)?

Thanks for any answers.

PS: To clarify my intent of use, I plan to build mini laptop similar to THIS, but similar in size to Psion Series 5.

Interface Type is: MIPI (2 data lanes), 40 pins Connector

Or can I use some small adapter for this? For those who ask why. I'm planning to "upgrade" PS Vita with a new motherboard. On our custom board, to PCIe bus 0 and bus 2 are connected LAN7430 and LAN7431 Ethernet adapters. In 3 of the prototypes we found that the PCIe bus 0 device is not always enumerated at first run, but always found after soft reboot. I guess some timing parameters are not meet, but don't know what is defined in UP Core Plus BIOS. Is it possible to know what timing must be meet? Is it any configurable parameter than can add a delay or tweak the enumeration process? We try to re-scan the bus from Linux, but seems that when nothing is found by BIOS the bus is disabled or reported that not support re-scan (hot plug) and haven't success.

Long story short, I am using a sophisticated sensor that needs a fairly powerful system to do some image manipulations and then I would like to then use the results to perform different keyboard actions. Is it possible to have the sensor connected to the port circled in red and then connect it to my computer using the OTG port circled in blue to send the keyboard data?

I would like to use two USB 3.0 devices simultaneously. Each device requires full 5Gbps bandwidth in order to function optimally.

Can the Intel Up Core Plus with its two on-board USB 3.0 ports be able to sustain a total of 10Gbps bandwidth? If not, what is the limit?

Thanks.

I can see two power ports there, 12V and 5V.
Can I power the UP Core Plus from the headers instead of the barrel jack?
What is 12V used for? Can I only use 5V?

Testing a new Up Core, I have gotten all the drivers setup and can use Wifi - however, I noticed the WiFi 802.11 AC 2T2R does not appear to have a monitor interface. Are there any plans to add this, or are there any third party firmwares which have it? Thank you.

hello

I installed ubuntu 16.04.05 on a up core plus
I noticed the wifi was not loading so I tried to get the sdio.txt from nvram with
sudo cp /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/nvram-74b00bd9-805a-4d61-b51f-43268123d113 /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio.txt
there's a wifi interface loading, and it's listing wifi network but impossible to join them

I also tried ubuntu 18.04. my goal is to get movidius
and real sense working, plus a few other things.

what's the right method to get the wifi working?

note: I tried to post in "up core plus / linux" but the category menu does not allow me to do that.

thanks

I'm also interested in all USB tests, but I have a few working options already.

note: for some reason the "up core plus - linux" forum does not accept posts ...
